*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 279100 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279100
I've realized that this happens when xrandr reports the connector to be "HDMI-1". When it's discovered as "TMDS-1" everything works fine. Due to this this is a duplicate of bug #279100 ** Summary changed: - Sometimes xrandr just result in a black monitor using hdmi (intel, Intrepid) + Xrandr results in a black monitor when connector is "HDMI-1" (intel, Intrepid) ** Description changed: Binary package hint: xorg Often, connecting my laptop to external monitor using xrandr and hdmi, it results in a black screen. (No dualhead or twinviews, only lcd) VGA connects fine. It works some times, but it's alot of trying and failing, rebooting and trying over again and again. + + EDIT: This only happens when the connector is "HDMI-1", and not when it + is "TMDS-1" (then everything works fine!) ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 279100 Connecting lcd-tv via hdmi (intel) to laptop results in split screen (Intrepid) -- Xrandr results in a black monitor when connector is "HDMI-1" (intel, Intrepid) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279097 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
