I rebooted and some of the devices on the laptop did not work as normal, such as the Netgear WG511T wireless card. I'm supposing it was due to the depmod failure.
I removed all 2.6.24-21 packages, which included the generic and rt kernel meta packages as dependencies, and rebooted into a previous kernel (2.6.24-19). I then re-installed the generic kernel meta package - no depmod failures this time - and rebooted again. This time, 2.6.24-21 booted correctly and all devices seem to work correctly now. -- package linux-image-2.6.24-21-generic 2.6.24-21.43 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290113 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
