Public bug reported:

On a Asus XL80 with atheros chipset Kubuntu 8.10 pre-releases worked
fine in most cases including support for internal wlan.

Since latest update of kernel modules I must use a extra wlan usb stick
'cause

which makes absolute no sense - days before it worked finest.
