Binary package hint: gnome-ppp
gnome-ppp can't get online as normal user.
>From the output of gnome-ppp:

--> Unable to run /usr/sbin/pppd.
--> Check permissions, or specify a "PPPD Path" option in wvdial.conf.
[CODE]
"pppd" is not in the path of the user.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/$~ which pppd
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/$~ sudo bash
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/$~ which pppd
/usr/sbin/pppd
It will work, if gnome-ppp gets started from root.
