This is where I stand with the "black screen" (with no way to regain control other than pushing on RESET button on computer) at boot :
(1) this is not systematic as I can for example have 5 to 6 normal boot session until I exprerience a failure. (2) when I have a normal session running I may have a prefect hardware rendering with my video card when executing : $ fgl_glxgears or I may observe some slight freezing effect in cube motion but not all the time during the same session. All this is very puzzling !
