Public bug reported:
After fresh 32-bit Intrepid RC install (and after installing all of the
auto-updates), the system will (seemingly at random) go to a black
screen. I can not recover from this. The graphics card (nVidia 9800 GTX)
fan promptly spins up to full speed.
I have not been able to enable the nVidia proprietary drivers, due to
another bug which I have reported.
