Confirmed: bluez-passkey solves the problem even for internet connection. Just installed it via Synaptic and runned my pppd script: the phone asked for the PIN and then a traybar notification popped up telling me that a Bluetooth device was asking for connection. Click on it and the PC itself asked for the PIN (the same entered on the phone, of course ;-) and... MINKIA!!! the connection was up!
