I'm not sure if this is still an issue because, for some unknown reason,
suspend/resume doesn't work at all for me anymore. This happens in
several distributions (ubuntu, opensuse, arch), using kernel versions
2.6.24-2.6.27

I'll try Intrepid final when it comes out, but I don't hold much hope
since fglrx for x.org 7.4 hasn't been released yet.

as a side note, when I say suspend/resume doesn't work, I mean that
suspend works fine but the machine hard-locks upon resume. sometimes I
get graphical corruption on the screen, sometimes the screen doesn't
come back on at all. I tried pm-suspend with a variety of options but no
luck. I've also tried the ati driver, radeonhd, as well as fglrx, all
with the same result.

Cheers,

Rob
