Public bug reported:
After plugging in my external hdd, Ubuntu says it recognizes a "picture
cd" and suggest to open it with brasero.
The HDD functions as it would.

Ubuntu 8.10 says external HDD is "picture cd". Suggests to open with brasero.
Disk itself works fine.
