Hi Leann, no I had a look at that bug. I never experienced a kernel panic. I suspect that could be because it didn't get an IP, it never had the chance to get volume through it.
BTW, I realise I omitted some information on the hardware and dmesg. I'll put it here now: Relevant line from lspci: 02:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN [Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61) dmesg: [ 26.537175] iwlagn: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link AGN driver for Linux, 1.3.27ks [ 26.537178] iwlagn: Copyright(c) 2003-2008 Intel Corporation [ 26.537375] iwlagn 0000:02:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 [ 26.537408] iwlagn 0000:02:00.0: setting latency timer to 64 [ 26.537464] iwlagn: Detected Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN REV=0x4 [ 26.584807] iwlagn: Tunable channels: 11 802.11bg, 13 802.11a channels [ 26.585164] iwlagn 0000:02:00.0: PCI INT A disabled further on in dmesg: [ 63.431831] iwlagn 0000:02:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 [ 63.431934] iwlagn 0000:02:00.0: restoring config space at offset 0x1 (was 0x 40100102, writing 0x40100106) [ 63.432163] firmware: requesting iwlwifi-4965-2.ucode [ 63.722357] Registered led device: iwl-phy0:radio [ 63.722405] Registered led device: iwl-phy0:assoc [ 63.722446] Registered led device: iwl-phy0:RX [ 63.722493] Registered led device: iwl-phy0:TX [ 63.739938] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlan0: link is not ready -- system doesn't optain IP in 802.11n mode with iwlagn https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/286800 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
