I'm sorry it took so long for me get back to this bug. Can you attach
the original .doc file? The .odt file looks screwed up in both Ubuntu's
version, upstream 2.4.1 and 3.0.0 on linux and 2.4.1 on Windows. So it
would appear the .odt file is just generally screwed up.
If however OOo has problems reading/converting .doc files then I can
forward the original file to upstream for them to correct the bugs.
