I don't understand why the status of this bug has changed to "fix released",
since as of today Intrepid update knetworkmanager keeps on not connecting to a
wired network with manual configuration, and the error message I can see in
syslog is the following:
Oct 21 09:52:46 eagle NetworkManager: <WARN>  wait_for_connection_expired():
Connection (2) /org/freedesktop/NetworkManagerSettings/Connection/1 failed to
activate (timeout): (0) Connection was not provided by any settings service

I have also nm-applet on my kde destop, and if I use it instead of
knetworkmanager, everything works, so I am pretty sure thata
knetworkmanager is the culprit, so for me this bug is not fixed at all.
