I alredy saw this bug in OpenSuSE and it seems that was resolved with kernel 2.6.25. I hope that you can suggest a quick fix for 8.04 LTS installer, because this bug means that 8.04 LTS (and 8.04.1 LTS too) will not install on any 64 bit IBM xSeries that have a SCSI Raid controller (5i, 6i, 6i+, 6m, 7k) !!!
