I'm also having problems with Ubuntu 8.10 (updated 2008-10-20) and Firefox 3.0.3 (with flashplugin-nonfree 10) randomly hanging for extended periods of time and sometimes crashing while watching flash video on youtube.com. It seems much more unstable than what I am used to from Ubuntu 8.04.1 using flashplugin-nonfree 9.
