as proprietary "ati-driver-installer-8-10-x86.x86_64.run" does not
check on x64 bits machines whether necessary libs such as ia32-libs for
example are installed or not I cannot confirm that it is a bug any more
; as I have downdgraded from Intrepid to Hardy considering that the lack
of KDE-3.5.10 as a complete alternate KDE suite to KDE-4 not realistic I
am no more in a position to re-test installation of ATI proprietary
driver for HD 4850 video card on Intrepid.

I take this opportunity to invite Ubuntu people to propose KDE-3.5.10 in
"/usr/lib/kde3" to ubuntu users as too many features are still missing with
KDE-4 (ie no proxy for Konqueror, no graphical editor for regular expression
with Kate, no IRC module for Kopete, etc....) ; .kde would be for KDE-4 but
.kde3 for KDE-3.5.10 ; the idea to have a mix of KDE-3 and KDE-4 in .kde is to
be reconsidered.
Regards.
