I appreciate the breakdown of the changes made. The important thing to note is that the API of trunk and the next major version of Awn is significantly different, mostly due to the rewrite that Neil is currently making in a separate branch. Among the changes is the removal of AwnSettings. This is pretty much the reason why I made the statements in my previous comment.
