I can confirm this behaviour. It is very confusing: When I type "physics" instead of "physic", I get a useful list as well, but "physic" gives a useful list very shortly, that disappears after a fraction of a second. I would believe that this bug is somehow related to bug #280747, where the search term is completely empty.
