Here's an updated patch for the ecryptfs part of this. As discussed on IRC, fixing this to not give problems on /any/ stack requires very subtle libpam surgery indeed, not appropriate for intrepid; but this patch brings pam_ecryptfs in line with what other modules do, and fixes the problem for me.
