10-16-2008 1) the sudo command did not work - see screenshot attached 2) I have the nvidia drivers uninstalled now so the screen looks ok 3) should I re-install the nvidia drivers then try the ammended command again ? 4) by log file did you mean the .conf file I just sent to you?
I will await more instructions... I opened the .conf file with gedit just to see what was in there, that is my copy of it not the one in use. BTW, I have used this monitor in the past with another PC which had dual boot RedHat & Win ME without any problems or any need to reset each time I boot to either OS.
