Hardy is not an old distribution. It is the currently active LTS distribution and will remain so until 2010 (I guess). Ubuntu LTS is the preferred server distribution, as servers need to be stable and not bleeding edge. There's an official Ubuntu upgrade policy to allow updates from one LTS to the next one, ignoring all intermediate releases. And Ubuntu Server edition is by default X11-less (and with good reason).
So, as I see this bug is still valid in the _current_ Server version and will remain so for the next two years. I definitely plege for a SRU. If I'd have to open another bug for this, for which package should it be opened? Obviously it cannot be the same ones as in this bug request, as you judge them invalid. -- dbus shouldn't depend on x11-common https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/243242 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
