This may or may not be the same bug but the one I describe is certainly present (and bothersome). Hopefully the XFCE folks will finally move on it. Also I'd like to say that I completely disagree with markor's tone and sweeping accusations of malevolence. I have nothing but gratitude for the literally thousands of programmers who offer their time and talent to make XUbuntu possible.
