Never mind, bug fixed. This morning I updated my system and rebooted,
it came up with the Hardware Drivers and I told it to use the
proprietary drivers. It reinstalled but didn't work, so I went into my
grub menu and updated the list with the latest kernel. Upon reboot, the
kernel patched in the fglrx module and it worked fine, Compiz running
and everything. The only problem is Firefox scrolling is a bit slow and
3d views show through windows (I had the screensaver preview open and
dragged a file browser over it, but the 3d view stayed on top of the
file browser).
