I had this problem when I had guidance-power-manager or kde-guidance- powermanager installed, clicking on Suspend to RAM worked, but suspending with the power button gave that result. It was a little different though, it would go to sleep, wake, go to sleep, wake, go to sleep, and then finally be awake. My guess was that several managers were sending it to sleep in different ways or without locking (see pm- suspend ?)
I deinstalled all the guidance packages and now it works fine, but the screen doesn't lock... see https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283315 -- kpowersave suspends to ram after resuming from hibernate https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/94396 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
