Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

Mode 1920x1080 was supported on Hardy using fglrx; now I upgraded to
intrepid and I'm only offered mode 1920x540 (half of the required 1080)

The display is a LCD TV Sony KDL-46VL130, the remaining stuff is in the
attachments.

The behaviour seems to be the same with the radeonhd driver.
