I'm still having this issue with a Tyan S2895 motherboard. I'm running Ibex with latest updates.
I have not tried irqpoll, noprobe=ataX, or pci=nomsi as grub options yet. I also have not changed any BIOS settings yet either. This problem only came to exist when I upgraded to Ibex from Hardy in September.
