Public bug reported: When I click on the Network Manager tray icon, and I choose "Create New Wireless Network", I am asked for a "Network Name", and a "Wireless Security". I give them, and then I press "Connect". But nothing happens, apart from the Network Manager icon turned into a wireless quality displayer, with 0 full bars (all bars empty). When I put the cursor on that icon, I get the following message: "Wireless network connection to '(unknown)' (0%)". It seems it doesn't work.
I run Ubuntu 8.04 on a DELL Latitude D800, with an Intel Wireless Pro wireless card, driven by the ipw2200 driver, with no problems. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "Create New Wireless Network" problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282681 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
