Did a test with a different camera. It's a Panasonic (Lumix) DMC-FX3. Here I also receive a similar bug. If I plug it in I receive the following error:
"Error initialising the camera: 53: Could not claim camera" The strange thing is, if I just click ok there and wait for about 3 minutes suddenly the normal "Camera detect - What do you want to do" dialog pops up, I can select F-Spot from there, it opens and start loading the pictures. But there it takes forever, loading pictures unbelievably slow. 20 ~ 30 secs per picture. If I cancel that "Camera detected" dialog though and just use f-spot-import I again just receive the libghoto2 error "Could not claim USB device" that I posted in the bug report. -- Can't connect Canon Ixus 50 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/282165 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
