Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

Step to reproduce the problem:

- Set a "Quick search" filter, for example "linux"
- Order packets by "status" (the squares in the first column)
- Select a packet and choose "remove" or "complete remove"

You'll see that a lot of packages will disappear from the list, instead of just
setting the removal flag to the selected packages.
This is very annoying because if you want to remove more packets, you have to
re-set the "quick search" filter, in order to get the complete (correct) list.

Happens on Ubuntu 8.10 beta1 Amd64, synaptic 0.62.1ubuntu9

** Affects: synaptic (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
