Ok, this isn't very useful.. but here is the information I collected: I Ctrl-Alt-F2'd into a terminal to stop it crashing on boot. Then I re- started the gdm. The system locked up again, but I was able to gain ssh access for about 20 seconds before it because unresponsive. There was no message in the syslog and no message in messages past the initial boot messages. I know this because I appended them with a mark before restarting the gdm.
What can I try now to sort this? Is there any way that the gdm theme might be causing it maybe? -- GDM crashes after restart https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/274630 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
