I'm using a Dell D820 too and experience problems when booting while wireless-switch is TURNED ON. Boot hangs at about 2,1 boxes filled at splash-screen. PC does not respond to any key-press except pressing power-switch for 5secs. When booting while wireless-switch is TURNED OFF there is no problem.
