MoonRise: This seems to be very hardware specific. I think the driver is somehow programming the chip incorrectly because once the flickering starts it doesn't stop, even rebooting into the BIOS continues to do it for me. The only way I can stop it is by powering off, or booting Windows (and then obviously it starts again when I go back to X)
