I have been getting this too with an Intel 82801DB/DBL/DBM audio controller. (NEC VERSA M400) I measured the shutdown stall as 2.5 minutes at the "Shutting down ALSA" line, followed by some rapid error messages before shutdown. Todays update has made the PC go to a progress bar shutdown, pausing for some time at about 40%, but a lot less than 2.5 minutes
