Please tell me in more detail how I can reproduce this message. How -exactly- are you attempting to install Java? Are you using Add/Remove, Synaptic, apt-get, or are you downloading a file from someplace? Are you using the instructions at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/JavaInstallation ?
