Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
The test hardware is an Acer Aspire One with an externar DVD writer Samsung model SE-5184. The installation proceeds normally until the moment the message to remove the CD from the tray and press ENTER to reboot is displayed. The led on the external unit blinks several times but the CD is not ejected. Pushing the eject button also does not work. Pressing ENTER causes the netbook reboot normally and after that I can eject the CD by pushing the eject button on the unit. The same issue does not happen installing 8.04.1. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Colin Watson (kamion) Status: New ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Colin Watson (kamion) -- [intrepid beta] The instalation CD is not ejected when using an external USB DVD unit https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/280289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
