I have this same bug, but it's basically breaking my entire system. After installing Ubuntu server I'm now trying to install ubuntu-desktop, and this bug is preventing scrollkeeper from installing correctly, which in turn is preventing 27 other packages from being installed. At present no users are able to start Gnome sessions, and I presume that's because installation of Gnome is incomplete. So my system is unusable at this point.
