Hmm. How about Nework Manager Applet? That currently closes when the popup window is clicked outside. You would have to change a lot of the panel plugins to make this consistent. I could see how a user might want to have the Calendar stay open but a volume slider control? This seems to be a step backwards in UI consistency.
