Public bug reported: On Intrepid Ibex, the brightness hotkeys on my Thinkpad T61 (Fn-Home/Fn- End) stop working after I enable Numlock (Fn-ScrLk).
It seems enabling Numlock creates an entry in ~/.gconf/desktop/gnome/peripherals/host-{hostname}/0/%gconf.xml (to save the Numlock state I guess). Once this entry exists, Brightness will no longer work (even after reboot). If I delete the file in .gconf and remove the ~/.gconfd/saved_state file, then everything is working again after login. I tested this in Hardy, and it does not create the problem (but does create the same file in .gconf after enabling Numlock) I'm running a daily update of Intrepid, with all latest packages. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Brightness hotkeys disabled after pressing Numlock https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279766 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
