I can confirm this bug in OpenOffice.Org Writer and can reproduce the
problem. It happens every time I open the program since a recent update.
It involves an OpenOffice.Org Writer window opening without a title bar,
but also occupying my full screen space, covering both gnome panels. For
me, the problem only occurs in OpenOffice.org Writer. OOo Spreadsheet
OOo and Presentation are not affected by this issue on my computer.
I've provided a screen shot of my entire screen, and the output of the
command listed above to show version number is as follows:
