Public bug reported: Hello everyone,
I've just upgraded to the Intrepid Ibex Beta on my Sony VAIO VGN-FZ190. Prior to this, the headphone jack worked when headphones, or speakers, were plugged in. Now, when another device is plugged in, sound continues to come out of the speakers on the laptop and the device that's plugged into the jack does not respond (no sound comes out). All alsa-drivers appear to be up to date. There is no switches tab in the sound preferences. Proper measures were taken to add the switches but the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base approach did not work.
