Public bug reported:

I am running Kubuntu Intrepid, thought I installed a commandline install
of Ubuntu hardy first, upgraded to intrepid, then installed kubuntu-
desktop to minimize downloads. I have just logged in and in kmenueditor
(rightclick kickoff --> Menu Editor) each application has two entries.
However applications that are part of KDE4, and therefore in a
subdirectory (/usr/share/applications/kde4) of /usr/share/applications
and not in the main directory are not affected. Attached is :

output of ls -R /usr/share/applications
output of dpkg -l
screenshot of kemnueditor with Internet group expanded.

They are all in attaches445.tar

** Affects: ubuntu
