After fixing the stoopid ip addres/netmask error I made in dhcpd.conf, the thin client boots !
But, the edubuntu splash screen shows, but the progress meter does not move. After a while stating at the edubuntu splash screen with no moving progress bar, a black screen with a X in the middle appears. After some more staring, the edubuntu loging screen appears. Maybe the black screen with the X in the middle is supposed to be like that, but it sure looks strange after such nice splash screen. I couldn't login with the same user I was logged in at the server at the same time. What happend was that after username and password, the black screen with the X came up again and then back to the login screen. No feedback! Maybe I need to do ltsp-update-sshkeys. Ooops... I needed to install the ssh server with 'apt-get install ssh'... now I can login. The login sound played (good! i don't have a sound card on the server !).
