I second that.

I did eventually get knetworkmanager to work (at first it didn't detect
any networks even when wireless assistant did - separate bug).

However, there's no reason for the out-of-the-box tools, i.e. wireless
assistant and system settings, not to support this common encryption
standard when the functionality already exists... it just makes this
facet of k/ubuntu seem immature, and adds another hassle on the way to
getting a system up and running.
