I tried to launch Skype from command line:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ skype &
[1] 9151
I loged in with username and password and the programme crashed. The
console reported the following:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ALSA lib ../../src/conf.c:2700:(snd_config_hooks_call)

I am running Ubuntu Intrepid and this is the output of uname -a on my machine:
