I was changing the current location on the clock/calendar (it changes
the timezone).
However, I cannot reproduce it anymore, changing the current location
does not require an authentification (neither with hardy nor with
intrepid)

I'm puzzled.

the button is disabled on the live-cd. When I try it on my installed
hardy, the authentification window appears on top, as expected.
