The way I interpret what you are saying, it sounds like you are:
1. Selecting a bullet style and then changing its parameters in the options tab
and applying it to a list.
2. Applying the same bullet style to a new list and expecting it to match the
formatting of the first list.

1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
