Patrick - Unfortunately the tar of the stuff under /sys didn't work, because of the colons in the filenames :(
Would you mind running the following 2 commands with and without AC adapter: hal-find-by-capability --capability "battery" | xargs -n 1 hal-device hal-find-by-capability --capability "ac_adapter" | xargs -n 1 hal-device Jono - Would you mind doing the same, as well as the output of "gnome- power-bugreport.sh" for both conditions too? Once that is done, I shall move this to triaged and assign it to the kernel team.
