Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: msttcorefonts

running "apt-get install msttcorefonts" displayed some error lines in the
terminal about "insufficient disk space"
(as a linux newby I didnt pay attention to those at the time).

Before installing this package I accidentally depleted all free disk
space on my ubuntu partition (causing many things to not work), but
afterwards I freed up around 1,8 GB of space. When running this package,
I had that much free, but the error still came up.

After installation of package, I opened in my Ubuntu's Open Office, an
open office document (saved as .doc) created under the Open Office
windows version with windows fonts. I noticed that I couldnt find any of
the windows fonts (like Arial, Times New Roman) available, but if I
placed my cursor amidst existing text the font selection would show
"times new roman" as if it understood the font.

After the above I had to restart the computer for a Windows session,
then as soon as I rebooted into Ubuntu again, I got a notification that
this package crashed and that lead me here. Sorry If I am doing it wrong
but its my first bug report ever and I have only used Linux for 4 days.
:)
