Public bug reported: Binary package hint: msttcorefonts
running "apt-get install msttcorefonts" displayed some error lines in the terminal about "insufficient disk space" (as a linux newby I didnt pay attention to those at the time). Before installing this package I accidentally depleted all free disk space on my ubuntu partition (causing many things to not work), but afterwards I freed up around 1,8 GB of space. When running this package, I had that much free, but the error still came up. After installation of package, I opened in my Ubuntu's Open Office, an open office document (saved as .doc) created under the Open Office windows version with windows fonts. I noticed that I couldnt find any of the windows fonts (like Arial, Times New Roman) available, but if I placed my cursor amidst existing text the font selection would show "times new roman" as if it understood the font. After the above I had to restart the computer for a Windows session, then as soon as I rebooted into Ubuntu again, I got a notification that this package crashed and that lead me here. Sorry If I am doing it wrong but its my first bug report ever and I have only used Linux for 4 days. :) More info: Running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron Kernel Linux 2.6.24-19-generic GNOME 2.22.3 CPU: Intel P4 3,20 GHz msttcorefonts Package Version: 2. 4 0 ProblemType: Package Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Sep 30 21:01:24 2008 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04 ErrorMessage: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Package: msttcorefonts 2.4 PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: msttcorefonts Title: package msttcorefonts 2.4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Uname: Linux 2.6.24-19-generic i686 ** Affects: msttcorefonts (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- "apt-get install msttcorefonts" caused "no disk space" error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276478 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
