I have the same problem on the same lombard ppc. modprobe orinoco_cs hangs. On breezy badger the orinoco card runs well. No problem at all. Updating on 6.06 the card is not recognised anymore, on 6.10 neither. Using the old Kernel from Breezy Badger under Edgy Eft the card works again. I suppose, this is a bug. Please find the dmesg output from booting Edgy Eft with the card in the slot:
