Thanks for backporting and packaging. Using your package I am able to start the movie from the dvd-menu, however once the movie is playing I can't seek (which is afaik a limitation of resindvd, which is currently being worked on in CVS) nor can I go back to the menu using the "go to"-menu of totem (might be a related problem). So until the seeking regression gets fixed it might be better to exclude resindvd from the plugins-bad package.
