1. does this happen after upgrading from hardy without taking any configuration in connection editor? Yes. 2. have you used a vpn plugin in hardy? which plugin? does it still work? No 3. what wireless security are you using? WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA-EAP? WPA2-Personal 4. can you connect at all? how many attempts does it usually take before a connect attempt succeeds? No. If I try to connect it starts the connect process but then gives up after a while and asks me for the password I just entered. It never connects. I've gone in that loop many many times. It won't go. 5. is the password sometimes remembered or are you asked on _any_ connect attempt? I'm always asked for a password.
Also to note that I went to Edit Connections...>Wireless>my- SSID>Wireless Security and the Password field is always empty even if I put one in. I close it and re-open it and it's gone. Also I am never prompted to allow access to the Keyring. (I never told it to Allow Always in Hardy) ** Attachment added: "syslog" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18020360/syslog -- wireless password is not being saved (intrepid) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/271097 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
